How to Cheat a Dragon's Curse by Cressida Cowell
I read the book How to Cheat a Dragon's Curse by Cressida Cowell. It was about a boy named Hiccup who set out on a quest to find a frozen potato. All the Viking tribes called it the vegetable that no one dares to name. Hiccup's friend, Camicazi, went on the quest also. I liked this book because it is about dragons and Vikings who work together and don't fight each other. I like books that are adventures and have quests. ~Natalie Z Grade 2

I am reading Sideways Stories from Wayside School by Louis Sachar. It all starts when Mrs.Gorf, their teacher, turns a dozen kids into apples in one day. And then the next day turns the other dozen of kids into apples. With a wiggle of her ears, a point of her finger, and sticking out her tongue, she turns them into apples! ~Jacob B. Grade 3
I read Pokémon Wrath of The Legends. In this story, Ash, Iris, and Cilan go to Milos Island to get some revival herbs so Ash could battle a gym leader named Clay, but he couldn't because all of the revival herbs were dried out. I like this book because it is cool and interesting. ~Aidan D. Grade 4

I am reading a book this week called Escape from Mr.Lemoncello's Library. So far the book is about kids who have to write an essay, so they get to go to the grand opening of the library. Only 12 of the kids get to be picked though. Will Kyle Keeley get picked? ~Gabi B. Grade 5

Moby Dick by Herman Melville

The setting of my book is on land and sea. Ahab want to get Moby dick because the whale has his leg. If was a characters i would want to be Captain Ahab because then I will be in charge of the ship. Also I will tell then what to do. I have one thing in common with Ahab, we are both bossy. The one difference is Ahab has a wooden leg I do not.
I like whales so this book sounds interesting. It sounds like he needs to go on an adventure to get his leg back. Does he ever get it back? Natalie Z grade 2

I just finished reading Judy Moody was in a mood not a good mood. A bad mood by Megan Mcdonald. Judy Moody was in a bad mood in the beginning of the book because it was the first day of third grade. By the end of the book she was happy because she made knew friends Rocky and Franky

Ian B. grade 2 this week I've been reading The Official Ninja Turtle Handbook. It told me everything about all of the characters in the episodes of Turtles that I like to watch. It also told me about the weapons they use and the monsters the turtles try to defeat.

DeleteEmily B. Grade 2 This week I've been reading Cinderella In the City. I liked this book because it reminded me of Cinderella but the story is different. She calls herself Cindy, and she's going to a dance competition instead of a royal ball. She does still meet a prince.

ReplyDeleteI am starting to read Starrng Jules in Drama Rama. Some questions that I might have reading this book is what is the main over-all of the story. After all I just started the book. One thing that I loved was that how the author decided to do take 1 and take 2 instead of chapters. That is what I've been reading this summer!

ReplyDeleteI am starting to read Best Friends Forever it is about diffrent true stories about friendships of animals . In chapter 1 an orangutang named Suryia and a dog named Roscoe meet by a stream where Suryia and an elephant named Bubbles are walking down a stream with there trainor named Moksha Bybee . They spot Roscoe lonley cold and hungry .
That was a summary of the book I am reading this summer .

ReplyDeleteI just got done reading Magic Tree House #17: "Tonight on the Titanic" - Jack and Annie are now asked to get four things. In this book, they get their first thing: a watch from William and Lucy. Jack and Annie helped William and Lucy get off the ship because it bumped into an iceberg. They felt sad when they got home because they knew most of the people on the Titanic sank with the ship.
In summer this week, I was able to answer the question, "what sank the Titanic?" I knew the answer because of this book.

ReplyDeleteI am currently reading Judy Moody and the not Bummer Summer. It is about a girl named Judy Moody who thinks she is going to have the best summer ever. In the beginning of the story Judy had news from her mom. Her mom said that her aunt Opal was coming over to watch her while they go to California. Next in the story, aunt Opal came and gave Stink ( Judy's brother ) and Judy a present. Stink got a book on how to catch big foot and Judy got a mood ring. That is what happened so far in my book and I'll tell you more about it next week!

ReplyDeleteRight now I am reading Grace makes it great and after Grace won 10,000 dollars and gave it to her grandparents,her cousin ( Slviye ) from pairs came to the states to visit Grace and her family. Grace was so happy she got to see her cousin. I really enjoyed this book.

ReplyDeleteI am reading Larryboy and the emperor of envy. Larryboy goes into a classroom and uses his suction cups to take off an asparagus mask from the money bandit. I got this book at the library.
Tyler B grade5 I am reading a book called Lone Wolf, that I got fromthe Simpson library. The main charactar in this book is Faolan. Faolan gets abandoned by his mom because of the pack rules; the start of the book was sad. I hope the pup will survive and make his way back to the pack.

ReplyDeleteI read the Magic Tree House #6 Afternoon on the Amazon. Jack and Annie go to the Amazon where they meet vampire bats, jaguars, monkeys, crocodiles, and all kinds of other animals. While they were in the rain forest the army ants came out and all of the animals ran away. Jack and Annie ran too. In order to get back to the tree house they needed to cross water.So they found a wood canoe and they started to float down stream. Then a monkey started throwing mangoes at them and Jack yelled at the monkey. The monkey ran away because Jack's yelling frightened him. When they went back to the tree house the monkey was there. He handed them a mango and at the same time the Pennsylvania book appeared which meant that the mango was the second special thing. It was interesting that in the last book Annie wanted to go on the mission to Japan but Jack didn't want to go. In this book Jack wanted to go to the Amazon but Annie didn't want to go. The book also gave another clue that the mouse was Morgan because the mouse squeaked when Jack said he needed more proof that Morgan was near by.

Lucas W. grade 3 Wedgie man a hero is born one day a superhero was born his name was veggie baby there was a big sign on the wall that said do not play with your food but he did anyway he made broccoli bears,tomato tigers,spinach spiders and even giant green bean gorillas. But one day he tried it and liked it. He made a mess at lunch veggies were every were all the veggies made him very healthy one day he turned into veggie boy soon he had lots of super powers one day he turned into veggie man he got a new suit then he saved a boy from a tree then he got a new name wedgie man.

ReplyDeleteI'm still reading Junie B. Jones Shipwrecked. The class is having a play and whoever gets the most facts about Christopher Columbus gets to pick their character first. Junie B. wants to be a star so she jumped up and wanted to go to the library right away. Her mother said no because her little brother Ollie was in the middle of a nap. Her mother said she could get on the computer at home. Lots of pages popped up about Columbus. Junie B. got 18 facts. I wonder if she'll win?

ReplyDeleteIn this book Eva want to put together a festival but she needs to ask for help from her friends. Asking for help is something that she does not like to do. Will Eva get help so she can put on the Festival? I really like the book because it teaches you that there's nothing wrong about asking for help.

I read The Rescue Princesses The Wishing Pearl by Paula Harrison. It was about 4 princesses who were doing jobs that the empress asked them to do. When Clara was doing her job, she heard a dolphin crying. She followed the sound to the wildlife zone which was a lagoon. She dived in the water in her dress and saw the dolphin had a big gash on it's side, that stretched from it's flipper to it's tail. Then the dolphin showed her a special pearl, and it had the power to heal the dolphin. Natalie Z grade 2
